Snapshots from the 2015 Fil-Am Celebration

Oceanside CA— The Filipino-American Cultural Organization (FACO), in partnership with the Oceanside Public Library, Friends of the Oceanside Public Library and Tri-City Medical Center held the 14th annual Filipino Cultural Celebration in downtown Oceanside on Saturday.

The theme for this years Fil-Am celebration was ‘The Philippines: The Jewel of Southeast Asia’. The colorful event was filled with costumes, pageantry, traditional and contemporary music, dance, native art and Filipino cuisine.

Guests included Oceanside Mayor, Jim Wood, Mr. Manny Ilagan, Director-OIC, Philippine Department of Tourism and Global Pinoy Singing Idol 2014 winner Alessja Morales. A special award was given to City of Oceanside, Library Division Manager, Brad Penner for his work over the past fourteen years in setting up the event.
