Oceanside Man Arrested for Breaking into Carlsbad Home While Family Slept

Carlsbad CA— Early this morning, November 25, 2017 at 5:30 a.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department was called to the 6400 block of Torreyanna Circle. The caller reported that she had just awoken and found that her home had been burglarized while her family slept. A purse and wallet had been taken.

Patrol officers canvassing the area located a suspicious male, identified as Trevor Joseph Wilson, in the 1100 block of Mariposa Road.

During the investigation, officers located multiple items belonging to two separate residents on Torreyanna Circle in the male’s possession. Also during the investigation, it was discovered that the male had also entered multiple unlocked vehicles in the neighborhood, but had not taken any property from them.

All stolen property taken from the residences on Torreyanna Circle were returned to the victims.

Officers arrested, Trevor Joseph Wilson, a 27-year-old, out of Oceanside, for two counts of Burglary, as well as Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia. Wilson was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
