Firm’s New State of the Art Office at Lakeshore in Irvine Focuses on Wellness, Tech and Amenities
Irvine CA— Cushman & Wakefield’s Orange County office has relocated to Lakeshore, a premier multi-building, mixed use office complex centrally located in one of the county’s most prominent business areas in Irvine, California. Operating in 28,415 square feet, Cushman & Wakefield’s new state of the art workplace is positioned on the 9th and 10th floors of the 10-story building at 18111 Von Karman Ave.
Cushman & Wakefield’s new penthouse space(s) in Irvine currently houses approximately 100 professionals plus room for expected growth. Prior to coming together into its single location, this office had operated out of two separate facilities also stationed in the city of Irvine. Cushman & Wakefield’s Irvine office brings together a full scope of services including Tenant Representation, Agency Leasing, Capital Markets, Project & Development Services, Property Management, and Facilities Management.
The recent move also aligns with Cushman & Wakefield’s announcement in October that the firm hired veteran real estate leader Eric Paulsen, Managing Principal to lead the firm’s Irvine (and Inland Empire) office. Mr. Paulsen joined the firm after most recently serving as Executive Managing Director at Ten-X Commercial (formerly Auction.com).
Mr. Paulsen said, “As with Cushman & Wakefield’s other recent office moves happening around Greater Los Angeles, our new Orange County office focuses on promoting employee wellness, collaboration, functionality, and efficiency, as well as advanced technology. In bringing together our two prior office locations in Irvine under one roof, we will be able to operate much more closely, collaboratively and effectively to serve our clients in a greater capacity and at an even higher level than before.”
Scott Sheridan of Cushman & Wakefield’s Project & Development Services (PDS) oversaw the office buildout which was completed in late October. The PDS team worked closely with architect Gensler and general contractor Howard Building Corporation. Leasing negotiations were handled by Rick Kaplan, Robert Lambert and Greg Brown of the firm.
The firm’s new Irvine office is decked out with numerous unique, modern and cutting edge design features and functions that make it an ideal working environment for such an established and progressive real estate services company that just celebrated its Centennial in 2017.
Hannah Zalusky, Gensler’s designer said, “Cushman & Wakefield’s new Irvine office was an opportunity to reimagine how clients and employees experience the firm’s space and its brand. Immediately upon entering the space, an expansive top floor reception area greets guests with a strong first impression and unique close-up views of John Wayne Airport. The new reception space has a warm international style and includes engaging lounge, café, and meeting spaces. Across from the large presentation room, with highlights of Cushman & Wakefield’s brand color, is a beautiful suspended black steel staircase connecting the 9th and 10th floors to further optimize collaboration and connectivity.”
She added, “An abundance of natural light is created by the floorplan design which maximizes the space’s 360-degree window line. The space incorporates interior offices that face outward versus exterior offices, allowing all employees to enjoy unobstructed views of beautiful Orange County and other scenic parts of Southern California. Further exploring the office areas of the space reveals an energetic office environment balanced by quiet focus areas. Height-adjustable desks, glass front offices, and multiple café areas reflect Cushman & Wakefield’s focus on health and wellness and attracting the best talent.”
Featuring three Class A office towers, Lakeshore is one of the premier office parks in Orange County’s Airport Area. It is centrally located within the Irvine Business Complex providing immediate access to local amenities including hotels, shopping and numerous restaurants. It is also conveniently positioned adjacent to the 405 freeway and within proximity of Interstate 5 and State Route 55.
“Our new space is magnificent and our clients who have already visited us have been highly impressed by its unique architectural design and warm, welcoming features, and we’d like to thank all those involved in bringing it together,” Mr. Paulsen added. “At the forefront of the reasons we chose Lakeshore as our new Orange County home were its Class A status, many walkable amenities, services and attractions; prime, centralized location; and accessibility to multiple freeways within minutes. The complex will include a great lawn area to include a stage, outdoor seating, fire pits, wifi, bocce ball courts and dining deck spaces that our office can enjoy. In addition, the owner plans to add another 12,000 sf of retail and restaurant space plus another 900 parking stalls in coming months that will be an additional convenience for our members.”
Across Greater Los Angeles, Cushman & Wakefield has recently repositioned several regional offices into more innovative and collaborative Class A spaces including its other most recent move within downtown Los Angeles, while also making several top notch hires servicing each of the offices. The firm remains focused in reinforcing its position as a thought and market leader in the region. Cushman & Wakefield currently employs more than 450 professionals in the Greater Los Angeles region, with office locations strategically spread across the region in Downtown Los Angeles, Century City, El Segundo, Long Beach, Inland Empire, and Irvine.
