Oceanside CA- Everything was clicking for the Oceanside Pirates, Friday night, in their 61-0 romp over  Poway High School. The Pirates drove 80 yards in 8 plays culminating in a 8 yard touchdown run by Thai Cottrell in their first possesion. The Titans were unable to move the ball and the Pirates second drive was capped by 69 yard touchdown reception by Jace Whittaker. Poway was again unable to move the ball and punted to Thai Cottrell who returned the ball 82 yards for a touchdown. Cottrells kick for the PAT was good and the score was was 21-0 with 4:38 remaining in the first quarter. The Titans were forced to punt again and again, Cottrell ran the ball back for a touchdown of 68 yards. Cottrell missed his kick for the PAT and that was the only the thing that went wrong for the Pirates in the first quarter. Oceanside scored on their next possession, a 12 yard run by Josh Bernard, 14 seconds into the second quarter.

The Pirates travel to San Marcos next Friday to take on undefeated Mission Hills at 7:00pm.

The El Camino offense was driving but fumbled the ball away on fourth and two. Ramona took advantage of the recovery and the clock to drive over 60 yards for the final score of the game 24-7. El Camino plays their first game on the road next Friday at Rancho Buena Vista with a 7:00pm start.
