Halloween and the Time Traveling Weekend in Oceanside

Oceanside CA- Start off your Halloween early, on Thursday, as children of all ages are invited to trick-or-treat at the Library from 3:00-5:00 PM at all Oceanside Library branches. Then you can head over to the Haunted Market. For the first time in Sunset Markets history, Halloween falls on the same night. Trick or Treat 5:00-7:00 PM, costume parade meets at the Main Stage at 6:00 PM and “Rock the House” is on the Main Stage.

Friday

High School Football– Oceanside plays its first home game since September 20th when the (6-2, 2-0 in league) Pirates take on La Costa Canyon (6-2, 3-0) for the top spot in the Avacado- West League match-up, 7:00 PM.  El Camino (4-4, 0-2) hits the road as they travel to Vista (1-7, 0-2) also at 7:00 PM.

Saturday

Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast – Bicycle and Food Festival. 200 limited registration slots are open for walk-up registration on Friday, Nov 1 12-7:00 PM, and Sat Nov 2, 6:00- 8:00 AM. Walk-up entries are available on a first come, first served basis.  Bike Ride, Friday Bike Dinner, Beer Garden. Sponsored by Event Media INC., San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, Oceanside Bicycle Committee. Pier Amphitheater from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) at the Library- The Civic Center Library will kick-off  National Novel Writing Month. Civic Center Library at 2:00 PM.

North County Cobras– Fresh off their 64-13  victory over the Las Vegas Lions , the undefeated  Cobras will be at home for their final regular season game against the nationally ranked, SoCal Coyotes, 5:00 PM kick-off, Oceanside High School.

Sunday

Daylight Savings Time begins – 2:00 AM the clock rolls back one hour unless you are one of the lucky ones where they don’t abide by antiquated time shifting.

Sunday Art Class– Want to learn how to draw and paint? Join the Sunday Art Class with local artist Todd Gomes Aviv. This free class helps children and teens improve their artistic talent and develop their skills. For grades K-12. 2:00 PM, Mission Branch Library Community Room.
