A Damp Beginning to a Weekend of Football and More

Oceanside CA- A much needed rain has hit most of Southern California and showers are expected to wet us down through Friday where the forecast calls for a 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms until 11:00AM.

Thursday

Today is the last chance to catch the Farmers Market and The Sunset Market, this month. Both markets will be closed next Thursday for Thanksgiving when the  eighth annual Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) Oceanside Turkey Trot takes over the streets of Downtown Oceanside.

Healthy Holiday Dishes Discussion at the Library
On Thursday November 21, at 2:00 p.m., join the Oceanside Public Library to welcome Amy Pamensky from Nourished Balance. Amy is a Natural Chef and Holistic Life Coach who will be discussing healthy alternatives for traditional holiday dishes. She will talk about how you can use fresh and local produce from the Thursday Morning Farmers Market to create tantalizing dishes. This discussion will be held upstairs in the Foundation Room at Civic Center Library at 330 N. Coast Highway in Oceanside.

El Camino will be at San Pasqual High School in Escondido, 7:00PM game time.

Friday

Oceanside is traveling to Chula Vista for a match up with Eastlake High School, 7:00PM game time

Saturday

Free Martial Arts Class at the Library
Oceanside Public Library invites children to a Martial Arts from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway. Come learn martial arts fundamentals like kicking and striking, grappling, and self-defense techniques for “real life” scenarios. This class, which emphasizes character development, is for ages 6 – 12 and will be taught by martial arts teacher Deborah Beccar. Please wear gym or workout clothes. cobras_logo_largeThe time has been set for the LCFL Championship game.The North County Cobras host the Inglewood Blackshawks for all the marbles at 3:00PM, Simcox Field at Oceanside High School.

 

 

Legacy Brewing Company will hold its Grand Opening celebration and will officially introduce Legacy to the world. Tickets to the event are $20.00 each.  A minimum of 7 beers will be available on tap. Brewery tours available every two hours hosted by Legacy brewer Mark Mericle. Live acoustic music as well as food trucks supplement the festivities.
