Dangerous Surf Advisory, Red Flag Warning for County

Oceanside CA- A red flag warning has been issued for San Diego County with strong, Santa Ana, winds forecast for the area coupled with dry conditions creating an increased fire danger. Winds will be northeast, 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 mph. Local gusts of 65 to 75 mph are likely in the windiest spots. The warning is in effect from Noon, Saturday to 6:00PM Sunday evening.

Dangerous Surf

A dangerous surf advisory has been issued for west-facing beaches of San Diego County and beaches North of Newport Beach in Orange County, Monday into Tuesday. A storm currently over the north-central pacific which will generate an elevated long-period West-northwest swell which will arrive
late Sunday, peak Monday and lower Tuesday. The swell will likely bring high surf, 5 to 8 feet, with strong rip currents at exposed West facing beaches.
