Oceanside CA- The Oceanside Public Library will host local author, Rebecca Leo on Saturday, March 15, 10:30 AM. Rebecca Leo will be speaking about her recent book The Flaws that Bind. This provocative novel tells the inside story of the mental and physical torture of domestic violence.
In her writing, Rebecca draws on personal experiences, talents and research. Her first book was a how-to guide for massaging children titled Loving Touch for Your Child written in response to popular demand from clients when she was an acupressure therapist. While teaching writing, she collaborated with another professor on Teaching Without Textbooks and contributed two bonus sections to The Revision Process by Robin Stratton.
Rebecca Leo has lived, studied, and taught in many places from Canada to Jamaica, Australia, the Virgin Islands, Boston and California. After taking classes in screenplay writing at UCLA, she wrote The Bee Preacher which is set largely in early 20th century Jamaica and California.
