Suspect Sought in Connection with Theft of Brass Grave Markers

San Diego CA– San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Alpine Station are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with the theft of seven brass grave markers from the Alpine Cemetery, located 2495 Victoria Drive in Alpine.

Sometime during April 4-5, 2013, three unknown suspects entered the Alpine Cemetery and stole seven brass plaques that marked the graves of military veterans. The total loss was valued at about $3,500. Investigators were able to identify and arrest two of the three suspects but need the public’s help to identify the third. The unidentified suspect is pictured above.

Anyone with information on this case should call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent in via www.sdcrimestoppers.org.
