The NEW Farm at Family Funville is an adventure in itself. Explore the newly designed garden and learn about Birds, Bees, Butterflies and Bugs, our little garden helpers. Meet the “Beetles” in our very own, “Strawberry Fields.” Take a look back at our agricultural history with the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum and get some gardening tips to take home to your own garden. AND, don’t forget the homegrown produce contests, the Honey Bees, Worm Races, and “Family Fun Contests.” Yes, there’s Corn Shucking, and Watermelon Spitting contests too. This year Creative Youth is offering a FABulous world of hands-on activities! From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, children and families can enjoy FABcrafts, workshops, demonstrations and activities in art, magic, acting, puppetry, cartooning, science, engineering and traditional Mexican arts. Story time is daily at 3 p.m., featuring authors and illustrators of well-known children’s books reading and signing books. Fairgoers can help create an ongoing art installation of London out of recycled materials. “Ringo’s Bingo” and The Beatles karaoke will occur each day at 4:30 p.m., and Fairgoers can enter one-day contests to show-off their best brownies, sock puppets, recycled trash art and many others.
