Free Admission for Kids at Fair, Today

Del Mar CA – There’s more fun in the sun to come this week at the San Diego County Fair, presented by Albertsons/Sav-on. The BIGGEST event in Southern California and 4th the LARGEST in North America, the San Diego County Fair continues NOW through SUNDAY, JULY 6TH . Here’s a look at the week ahead:

Tuesday, July 1:

It’s Kid’s Day: Kids 12 and younger are admitted FREE and it’s $2 Taste of the Fair.

Huey Lewis and the News, on the Heineken Grandstand Stage at 7:30 p.m.

Super Diamond, on the Paddock Stage at 9:00 p.m.

Wednesday, July 2:

REO Speedwagon, on the Heineken Grandstand Stage at 7:30 p.m.

Lit, on the Paddock Stage at 9:00 p.m.

Thursday, July 3:

Tony Gwynn Day at the Fair! Get in FREE with a ticket stub from any 2014 Padres home game.

James Darren at 1:00 p.m. on the San Diego Showcase Stage for the Solid Gold Series.

Matisyahu, on the Heineken Grandstand Stage at 7:30 p.m.

The Tubes with Fee Waybill, on the Paddock Stage at 9:00 p.m.


July 4th at the Fair
– A full day of celebration for Our Nation and FIREWORKS!

Visit the World Memorial at the south end of the Del Mar Arena, visit the JFK Experience and enjoy exhibits, contests, entertainment and wear your Red, White and Blue, we have a contest for that too!

The July 4th Grandstand Schedule:

ALL FREE WITH FAIR ADMISSION and the Fair is open until midnight.

7:00 p.m. Hometown Heroes Parade

7:30 p.m. Navy Band Southwest

9:00 p.m. THE LARGEST FIREWORKS DISPLAY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

9:30 p.m. America performs on the Heineken Grandstand Stage

Electronic Friday in the Paddock featuring Royal Zeven at 9:00 p.m. and Mancat at 9:45 p.m.

Friday Night Funnies in the Turf Club at 10:00 p.m.

Mark Yuzuik – Hypnotist at the San Diego Showcase Stage at 10:00 p.m.


Saturday, July 5
:

The Big Bite Bacon Fest – Two sessions of Hops and Hogs featuring fabulous bacon- deliciousness, generously paired and served with another famous favorite, BEER! www.gotporked.com .

Grand Funk Railroad, on the Paddock Stage at 9:00 p.m.

Sunday, July 6:

Ezequiel Peña singing on horseback, at 7:30 p.m. in the Del Mar Arena.

DJ Mancat, at 8:30 p.m. on the San Diego Showcase Stage.

Britain’s Finest Beatles Tribute, at 9:00 p.m. on the Coors Light Rock On Stage.

Here comes the FUN! “The Fab Fair” is the theme for the 2014 San Diego County Fair, presented by Albertsons/Sav-on, paying tribute to the British Invasion that revolutionized the music industry 50 years ago in United States and around the world. The Fair runs now through Sunday, July 6; closed on Monday, June 30. The fun continues after July 4th! About the Del Mar Fairgrounds

The 22nd District Agricultural Association is a State of California agency that owns and operates the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Surfside Race Place, Horsepark Equestrian Center and the Del Mar Golf Center. The 22nd DAA produces four events each year: The San Diego County Fair, the Del Mar National Horse Show, Professional Bull Riding (PBR) and The Scream Zone. The Fairgrounds hosts more than 350 events annually, the largest of which is the live horse racing meet each summer and fall, which is operated by the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club for the 22nd DAA and the State of California.
