Person of Interest Sought in July 4th Homicide

Vista CA– On July 4, 2014, at about 3:40 p.m., deputies responded to 3625 Gopher Canyon Road in unincorporated Vista on a call to assist the fire department with a man down. When they arrived they found a man on the ground with traumatic injuries. Paramedics attempted to revive the man but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death and the identity of the victim will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The case is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail and Crime Laboratory personnel.

A person of interest has been identified in this homicide case. Alexander Michael Wyman is wanted for questioning. He lives at the property and he and the victim were acquaintances.

Mr. Wyman is possibly ARMED AND DANGEROUS. If located, call 9-1-1. Do not attempt to contact or speak with Mr. Wyman.
