Victim Identified in July 4th Homicide

Vista CA- The victim of a July 4th homicide in Vista has been identified as Robert Joseph Evasick (5-3-1960). Mr. Evasick lived on the property at 3625 Gopher Canyon Road. A person of interest has been identified in this case. Alexander Michael Wyman is wanted for questioning. He also lives at the property and he and Mr. Evasick were acquaintances.


On July 4, 2014, at about 3:40 p.m., deputies responded to 3625 Gopher Canyon Road in unincorporated Vista to assist the fire department with a man down. When they arrived they found a man on the ground with traumatic injuries. Paramedics attempted to revive the man but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
