The Group Ride is Open to Both Men and Women and Will Feature a Post Ride Festival
Carlsbad CA – San Diego cycling fans will have the opportunity to ride with hometown pro cyclist and Women’s Cycling Association (WCA) Board Member, Janel Holcomb, when the WCA Join The Ride Tour rolls into San Diego on August 3, 2014. Holcomb, a member of Team Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies, will lead the WCA group ride in her hometown from Campagnolo North America Inc., located at 5431 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, CA beginning at 8:30am.
“This summer marks the one year anniversary of the WCA’s official launch and I’m thrilled to finally be able to introduce the WCA to my home town,” said Holcomb “San Diego has an extensive and enthusiastic cycling community of racers, endurance riders, triathletes, and recreational cyclists, and I’m excited to see people from all parts of the community come out and support the Women’s Cycling Association. It is an honor to be able to lead this ride having grown from beginner to recreational to pro rider right here in San Diego.” Janel will just be returning from Paris where she and her team will have competed in La Course, the inaugural women’s race at the Tour de France, and will be sharing her experiences from this historic women’s cycling event.
