The Comic Shrink Makes Neurosis a Laughing Matter

Vista CA– On Friday, August 15 at 7:30 pm, ArtBeat is offering something a tad “offbeat.” But engaging, entertaining and insightful. It’s Standup Comedy Night starring Howard E. Richmond, MD (AKA the Comic Shrink), a practicing Encinitas psychiatrist by day and comic by night.

Dr. Richmond quips, “People who know me as a shrink can’t believe I’m a comic. People who know me as a comic can’t believe I’m a shrink.”

Joining Dr. Richmond onstage will be radio talk show host Dick Spenneberg. Together, they will make us laugh at what’s inside our own heads while revealing a bit about what’s inside theirs.

The evening is certain to be unique as well as helpful in your own life. Tickets can be purchased online for $15 http://www.eventbrite.com/e/stand-up-comedy-tickets-12423365621, or, on a space-available basis, for $20 at the door.

Dr. Richmond takes mental health seriously but believes that, no matter what ails you psychologically, you can always find something to laugh about, including your own foibles. His brand of comedy is genuinely a healing art.

So come share shrink-wrapped laughter and fun on Standup Comedy Night at ArtBeat on Main Street. Great psychiatry. No couch required!
