The Wine Pub Hosts Bike for Boobs on October 26

Breast cancer survivor, local restaurant owner aims to beat $7,000 fundraising mark set in 2013

San Diego CA– In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Wine Pub rolls out its second-annual Bike For Boobs on October 26: a bicycle ride and mixer supporting the fight against breast cancer.

The event hits close to home for friends and family of The Wine Pub after Owner Sandy Hanshaw underwent chemotherapy for stage three breast cancer last fall. At the same time last year, Bike For Boobs raised close to $7,000 for the Breast Cancer Fund, an organization dedicated to exposing and eliminating the environmental causes of breast cancer and stopping the disease before it starts.

This year, Hanshaw and The Wine Pub are back and stronger than ever. Bike For Boobs attendees will join The San Diego Bike Coalition and Wheel Women of San Diego for a casual bicycle ride around Shelter Island. Following the ride, guests will mingle over drinks, appetizers, live music and a silent auction with a goal of exceeding the $7,000 raised in 2013.

Space is limited, so reserve your space with a donation today. The Wine Pub also accepts donations for The Breast Cancer Fund from those who can’t attend the event.
