McDonald’s Oceanside Grand Reopening Celebration

Oceanside CA – Serving the community since 1969, Oceanside’s first McDonald’s restaurant, located 137 Canyon Drive, is inviting the community to attend a grand reopening event on Saturday, Nov. 1, after undergoing several contemporary changes designed to enhance the customer experience.

Art Sandoval, local business owner and McDonald’s franchisee, will host the restaurant’s grand reopening from noon to 3 p.m. with special events including a costume contest, an Aztec dance troupe performance, raffle prizes and other activities. Sandoval – along with Ronald McDonald and various elected officials – will kick off the event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon followed by a Ronald McDonald show at 1 p.m. and a costume contest at 2 p.m.

The updated Oceanside restaurant, originally one of the first three McDonald’s restaurants to debut in San Diego County, now includes contemporary changes that enhance customers’ dining experience. These updates feature improved landscaping and 24-hour dual drive thru lanes, as well as an all new interior – including updated restrooms, digital menu boards, modernized color schemes and interactive kids games. Beginning Oct. 24, the restaurant drive-thru will be open 24 hours and will be offering a $1 Big Mac between midnight and 4 a.m. for a limited time.

“It amazing to be able to celebrate 45 years of serving our community of Oceanside,” said Sandoval. “Whether it is a morning coffee on the way to work, sharing a meal with family or having a vanilla cone for a special treat after school, we’re honored to support our community and we are excited to celebrate our updated look with our neighbors.”
