West Coast Celebratory Gala Raises Funds for Military Children

Dana Point CA– Marine and Navy Corpsmen make extraordinary sacrifices every day to protect our country. The last thing they should worry about is having to tell their child they cannot attend college due to a cost that outpaces the average military family’s income, inflating 121% since 2002.

This is why the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, the nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military families, will host the 32nd Annual West Coast Campaign Celebratory Gala Saturday, October 25, at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, where they will raise funds to honor these Marines by educating their children. This year, 211 scholarship recipients are from and/or are attending California schools. To date, the event has raised nearly $1,000,000 due to the contributions from generous Southern California donors.

Here are some of the key event attendees. david_mc_callum

  • Lieutenant General Terry Robling USMC (Ret.), Marine Corps Guest of Honor/Speaker
