‘Damsels in Dis Dress’ Return for Home Holiday Tour

Oceanside CA— The ‘Damsels in Dis Dress’ are back and performing. The group went on hiatus for a year while one of their members battled cancer and make their return for the Home Holiday Tour.

The group consisting of Carolyn Mickelson, Vicki Hamilton, Eliane Weidauer and Joni Yribi as accompanist formed in 2010 when the ladies got together to put on a fundraiser for Casa de Amparo.

Over the next three years they sang throughout the community at the Oceanside Museum, Oceanside Music Fest, Oceana, and Moore s‘ Cancer Center, as well as private parties, they each also perform in other venues, groups and productions. The group went on hiatus for a year while one of their members, Carolyn, battled cancer. Now they are back and singing.

This week with their newest member, Diane Scholfield, they will be performing for the Friends of the Library Home Holiday Tour Sunday 14th at 2:00 on the Civic Center Plaza stage by the Oceanside Library, and on Thursday the 18th at 1:00 week at Moores Cancer Center. And, of course, they are always interested in new gigs.

The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library’s annual Holiday Home Tour is Sunday, December 14, 2014. This year’s event will feature five enchanting Oceanside homes festively decorated for the holidays, as well as bonus stops at local businesses, such as the Stone Brewing Company Store and the Succulent Cafe.
