Oceanside PD Request Help Locating Possible Shooting Victim

Oceanside CA—  Last night, December 23, 2014 at 11:40 p.m. Oceanside Police Department officers responded to a call of a person who had been shot. The reporting party, Emmanuel Patino, was calling from in front of 581 Gold Drive. He told officers that the victim, described as an Asian male, flagged the Patino as they were driving on Gold Drive approaching one another.

The victim told Patino he had been shot and needed help. Patino saw what he thought was blood on the victim’s hands. The victim asked Patino if he was going to help him. Patino told him he would call the police and paramedics.

When he began to dial 911, the victim drove off in a black Mustang towards Vandegrift Boulevard.  The license plate on the Mustang is California 7EER174.

Officers checked the area for the victim, but did not locate him. Camp Pendleton, neighboring agencies and hospitals were notified. Follow-up was done on the license plate. The registered owner no longer lives at the addresses linked to the license plate and there was no forwarding address.

If anyone has information on this car or the victim, please contact the Oceanside Police Department at (760) 435-4911.
