Drivers should avoid the area for several hours as traffic flow will be constricted. Westbound traffic is detoured at Avenida Descanso. North River Road is still closed at Festival Drive as of 4:00pm.

The eastbound left turn lane on North River Road is closed. It is now beginning to rain in the area and motorists are urged to use extreme caution.

Anyone with information on the collision is asked to call the Oceanside Police Department at (760)435-4911.
