TGI Fridays Robbed in Carlsbad

Carlsbad CA— Early this morning, January 18, 2015, at 1:39 a.m., the Carlsbad Police Department received a call of an armed robbery at the TGI Fridays restaurant located 890 Palomar Airport Road. The suspect fled the area before officers arrived.

The manager’s office was the only area targeted by the suspect. The suspect confronted the manager and kitchen staff and demanded entry into the restaurant’s safe. The suspect ultimately took cash and personal property from the manager, kitchen staff and the restaurant safe. Patrons in the dining area were not aware there was an armed robbery occurring in the back office area. At this time the loss is an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years in age, average build, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a white bandana that concealed his face. The suspect was armed with a chrome or silver colored semi‐automatic pistol. The suspect fled the restaurant on foot. It is unknown if he is associated with a vehicle.
