“I Survived” Oceanside Public Library

Oceanside CA— Can you survive our awesome tween program? Children ages 8-12 and their parents and caregivers are invited to join the Oceanside Public Library for an afternoon of courage, bravery, and survival. We will celebrate the release of the newest “I Survived” book by Lauren Tarshis—“The Great Chicago Fire, 1871”–with a reading of excerpts from the new book and pictures of the historical event.

Don’t miss special visits by one of Oceanside’s own firefighters and a local Boy Scouts leader who will share fire survival tactics.

The program will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Mission Branch Library community room, 3861-B Mission Avenue. It is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library.
