Fire Causes $200,000 Damage to Oceanside Home

Oceanside CA—  Just around 7:00pm. March 9, 2015, the Oceanside Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 3945 Stanford Drive.

The first OFD unit on scene found a two story home with fire coming through the roof of the garage. The resident at the home had previously been alerted by a neighbor and was able to escape.

Additional units on scene assisted with the firefight and salvage operations. The fire was under control in approximately 45 minutes. Damage is estimated at $200,000 for the structure and contents.

Two adults were displaced by this fire and will be staying with local relatives. In addition to the damage to the structure, one motor vehicle and 4 motorcycles were also destroyed.

It took 31 firefighters from Oceanside and Vista approximately 45 minutes to get the fire under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
