Camp is for kids 5-14
Carlsbad CA— Elementary and middle school kids who love to dance, or aspire to try out for dance or cheer squads in the future, are invited to brush up on their dance skills this summer with the Carlsbad High School Varsity Dance Team. The Champion Lancer Dancers will be holding a Junior Lancer Dancer summer camp from Aug. 4 through 7 at Carlsbad High School from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
The summer camp is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers for a donation of $125 per child (includes a free T-shirt and photo). Participating dancers will learn new dance routines, have a performance opportunity, gain self-confidence and begin to develop a championship attitude by having the Lancer Dancers as role models.
Registration can be completed online at www.LancerDancers.com. The donations will help fund the Lancer Dancer’s annual trip to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Universal Dance Association’s (UDA) National Championships.
The Lancer Dancer varsity dance team is comprised of an elite group of dancers selected each year through a rigorous try-out and screening process and are nationally recognized for excellence in dance. In nine of the last 14 years, the Lancer Dancers have won a National Title.
The Lancer Dancer tradition is built on school spirit and hard work, in academics as well as dance. Each year, the team performs at CHS home games for varsity football and basketball games. The Lancer Dancers also perform an annual dance showcase open to students, families and members of the community. The team takes pride in supporting a variety of community events throughout the year, with specially choreographed dance routines and a positive team spirit.
