Vista CA— Things are looking up in downtown Vista – WAY up! ArtBeat on Main Street’s popular Gallery and Wine Lounge at 330 Main Street in the heart of this historic district has launched the community’s first webcam. Funding for the webcam was provided by the Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Excitement is literally in the air. The webcam is positioned atop ArtBeat, looking out at vintage Vista features; notably the Avo Theatre and other landmarks along Main Street, within proximity to what was once U.S. Route 395. One can envision early 20th century vehicles meandering down the road and in fact can see them and the iconic highway celebrated in a mural just a few steps from ArtBeat, on the corner of Main Street and North Michigan Avenue.
Both the webcam, which streams live 24/7, and the mural are the brainchild of ArtBeat owner Kait Matthews, who since opening the Gallery in 2012, has been striving to “put Vista on the map.”
She explains, “The view above ArtBeat is the ideal site for Vista’s only webcam. It looks out on all the downtown shops, the hustle and bustle of daily life, and of course, the gorgeous view, including our wonderful sunsets, street sculptures and evening lights.”
Matthews says that the webcam can also put local businesses on the map. Sponsors can purchase advertising space on the webcam page at ArtBeat’s website. For availability and rates, please email email@example.com.
Kait Matthews is known for her creativity, innovation and fresh concepts. By launching Vista’s first webcam, she didn’t just think outside the box but soar far above the box. Come on down to see and be seen!
