New Landscape Watering Restrictions in Oceanside

Oceanside CA— In April 2015, Governor Brown issued an executive order for mandatory water use reductions ranging from 4% to 36% in the state.

To achieve Oceanside’s assigned cutback of 20%, significant changes will need to be made, including reducing landscape watering days to two days per week and eliminating water waste.

Single family residential homes are limited to watering on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Apartments, condos, businesses and public agencies are limited to watering on Mondays and Thursdays. Water before 10:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. and for no longer than 10 minutes each assigned watering day. For help in becoming more water efficient at your home or business, Oceanside will provide a free water use evaluation.

It’s more important than ever that everyone adhere to current Level 2 Drought restrictions and work together as a community to achieve our conservation targets.

Meeting this mandatory water reduction will mean that all residents and businesses do their part by reducing water use in every way possible.
