Sport Clips Under New Ownership in Oceanside
Oceanside CA— Sport Clips Haircuts, the nation’s largest franchise dedicated to men’s and boys’ hair care, is under new ownership in Oceanside. Sport Clips Team Leaders (owners) Chris and Cammie Formo, of San Diego, purchased the Oceanside Marketplace store, located 4259 Oceanside Blvd., next to IHOP, and also own five additional Sport Clips in the greater San Diego area.
As a part of Sport Clips’ re-grand opening celebration on August 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the local business will host a cut-a-thon to benefit Resounding Joy’s Semper Sound music therapy programs, which work directly with military service members and veterans diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), substance abuse, and other physical and psychological diagnoses related to combat stress and trauma. All haircuts will be free of charge with a donation of $5 or more to the Semper Sound program.
“Our stylists are excited for the opportunity to use their skills as haircutters to generate awareness of the Semper Sound program and raise funds to support our nation’s heroes who have sacrificed so much during their service to our country,” said Chris. “We invite the community to come out and get a great haircut for a great cause.”
In addition, clients and visitors will have a chance to win prizes and enjoy live music. From noon to 12:45 p.m., Sport Clips will have an “open mic” for local musicians who would like to perform.
Sport Clips offers a fresh take on barbershop amenities and services like the “MVP Experience” that includes a precision haircut, massaging shampoo, hot steamed towel treatment, and neck and shoulder massage. Clients can enjoy a game on large, flat-screen televisions playing sports programming at each haircut station and in the lobby, and no appointments are necessary.
