CARE Alert Issued for Two Oceanside Boys-Updated

Update: At 4:48 this morning, the Long Beach Police Department located the suspect and both children at a motel in Long Beach. Both children are fine and unharmed. The suspect has been arrested.

Oceanside CA— The Oceanside Police Department has requested a CARE Alert be issued in San Diego. The request stems from a domestic violence investigation earlier this afternoon in the 2300 block of Greenbrier Drive.

West is believed to be armed with a firearm and driving a gray 2010 Honda Accord similar to this one

The Oceanside Police Department is seeking the safe return of Jamel Oliver (10 years old) and Daijon West Jr (9 years old) who were last seen at approximately 4:10pm on Monday, July 27, 2015 in a vehicle driven by Daijon West (29 years old).

West, who is the father to one of the boys (West), fled the scene with the two boys after inflicting injury to his wife and making criminal threats against her.

Oliver is the son of the victim.

West is believed to be armed with a firearm and driving a gray 2010 Honda Accord bearing California License Plate 6LMT598).

SUSPECT: DAIJON WEST 29 years old / 6 feet / 180 lbs / tattoos on both sides of neck and left arm.
