Carlsbad City Library Offers “Ask a Genealogist” Service

Carlsbad CA— Are you interested in your family’s history? Carlsbad City Library’s Genealogy Division is offering the “Ask a Genealogist” service at its library located 1775 Dove Lane. The one-on-one assistance is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the library’s second floor computer lab behind the reference desk.

The genealogy staff and collection are normally housed at the Georgina Cole Library, located 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive. During the Cole Library’s temporary closure for renovations, the genealogy staff will be providing their assistance at the Carlsbad City Library on Dove Lane. Staff will help patrons using the genealogy collection’s high-quality online resources.

When the Cole Library reopens in early 2016, all genealogy materials and staff will be available on the Cole Library second floor during library open hours, providing the public access to the third largest public genealogical collection in California.
