Vista CA— ArtBeat on Main Street Gallery and Wine Lounge in Vista will deck its halls with multifaceted merriment on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 6-9 pm as it launches its partnership with nonprofit Ubiquitous Music at a Crazy Christmas Sweater Party and Artist’s Reception.

The event is free, with a suggested $2 or more per person donation welcomed at the door. All event proceeds benefit Ubiquitous, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing music education to schools and students.

Pot luck offerings are invited, but not necessary, says ArtBeat Owner Kait Matthews. “We’ll have food, wine and beer, live music, wonderful art and prizes for various sweater categories. People are encouraged to come early and do last-minute holiday shopping at our chic boutique and throughout the Gallery. Most of all, we want everyone to eat, drink and make merry for a very good cause.”

The ArtBeat-Ubiquitous partnership is showcased on KOCT TV’s Oceanside Spectrum running

Currently, Ubiquitous offers free on-site guitar and concert band programs throughout North County schools, as well as rock band instruction in several continuation high schools. The organization pays the instructors, who offer their expertise to students at before- and after-school programs at no cost.

Sellier says, “ArtBeat’s participation will enable us to expand our current instruction to more schools while expanding into art instruction. Simply put, the partnership is music to our ears!”

Since its inception in 2012, ArtBeat has made reaching out to the community a priority. It has worked with the City of Vista and Vista Chamber of Commerce to promote and showcase arts, and partnered with many worthwhile nonprofits, including TERI, Vista Soroptimists and the Vista Community Clinic. Matthews believes, “A business has a responsibility to support the people and community that support it. Our harmonious new partnership with Ubiquitous will have far-reaching benefits nurturing the next generation of artists, musicians and well-rounded human beings.”
