President of GROW Elect, to speak at North County Republican Coalition meeting
Carlsbad CA— Please join the North County Republican Coalition (NCRC) in welcoming Ruben Barrales, President of GROW Elect, as the featured speaker at the February 15th event. GROW Elect recruits and helps to elect Latino Republican candidates for public office in California, and has a record of helping win tough elections. Mr. Barrales will give us an overview of GROW Elects’ plans as we head into the 2016 Elections.
Latino Republicans are making a real difference in their communities fighting for Republican principles of fiscal responsibility, economic growth and job creation, education reform, and government transparency. Some of these elected Latino officials have been on the front-lines of cleaning up city governments known for their corruption and fiscal mismanagement. They also constitute a Farm Team of future GOP candidates for higher office who reflect the diversity of California and can take the Republican message of opportunity to every neighborhood in our state.
Ruben Barrales was previously the President and Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, and also served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of White House Intergovernmental Affairs for President George W. Bush. In 1992, Mr. Barrales became the first Latino elected to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors. Barrales has served on various boards including the Board of Directors of the Public Policy Institute of California, the California Speaker’s Commission on State and Local Government Finance, and the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
The North County Republican Coalition (NCRC) promotes local Republican candidates and conservative issues in North County. NCRC meets the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at 83 Degrees, 660 Carlsbad Village Drive (Corner of Carlsbad Village Dr. & Roosevelt Street) Carlsbad, CA 92008.
