Oceanside CA— MiraCosta College will hold a day of free choral performances followed by an evening choral concert at its Oceanside Campus Concert Hall, Bldg. 2400 located at MiraCosta College, 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside.
North County Choir Festival (afternoon)
This celebration of choral music by community and area church choirs will include choral singing in a variety of musical styles. This festival allows choral singers to hear each other and enjoy singing one selection in a combined choir accompanied by brass instruments.

Each of the eight choirs will receive adjudication from Mr. William Hatcher. Mr. Hatcher will conduct the final piece of the afternoon sung by all the choirs, accompanied by a brass quintet. William Hatcher is a nationally known conductor of choral music. He is a past president of the large American Choral Directors Association, and is a retired music professor from the University of Iowa. He has taught at Pasadena City College and UCLA.
Choral Concert (evening)
The Masterworks Chorale and Chamber Choir of MiraCosta College will be joined by the Pacific Chorale from San Diego and the Center Chorale from Escondido in a feast of choral music in a variety of musical styles.

Tickets are $10, general admission, and $8 for students, seniors and staff.
The Masterworks Chorale is conducted by Dr. Joe Stanford who is the spring semester replacement for Dr. Arlie Langager. Nancy Gray, recently retired from the Poway School District is Dr. Langager’s replacement for the Chamber Choir.
