Encinitas CA—  Here are some of the events and classes taking place this month at the San Diego Botanic Garden.

Now – Monday, July 12, 2016. Daily, 9 am – 5 pm. Ecke Building. San Diego Botanic Garden. 230 Quail Gardens Drive. Free with paid admission or membership. 

10th Annual Lung Hsiang Exhibit and Sale. The 10th Annual Lung Hsiang Exhibit and Sale features original Chinese Brush Paintings created by members of the Lung Hsiang chapter of the American Artists of Chinese Brush Painting. The exhibit and sale is open daily from 9 am – 5 pm in the Ecke Building in the Garden. The public is invited to the opening reception on Sunday, May 22 from 2 – 4 pm. Sunday, May 1 – Labor Day, September 5, 2016. Daily, 9 am – 5 pm.  San Diego Botanic Garden. 230 Quail Gardens Drive. Free admission for active-duty military and up to 5 immediate family members. 

Blue Star Museum Program. The San Diego Botanic Garden is proud to participate in the Blue Star Museum program, offering free admission to all active duty, National Guard and Reserve members of the U.S. military and their families (card carrier plus 5 immediate family members). Tuesday, May 3, 2016, 9 am – 12 pm. San Diego Botanic Garden. 230 Quail Gardens Drive. Members: $35, Non-Members $42 (Materials included in fee).

Chocolate Festival. Spend the Saturday before Mother’s Day at San Diego Botanic Garden’s famous Chocolate Festival! Enjoy dozens of delectable chocolate tastings, demonstrations, a chocolate fountain and more. Palm, Cycad, Bamboo and Tropical Plant Sale. This one-of-a-kind event features rare and exotic species of palms, cycads and other tropical plants provided by exceptional Southern California Nurseries.
