Harman has 33 releases since his recording debut in 1964. His current album, “Bonetime” on Toronto’s Electro-Fi Records label, hit Number One on the Living Blues radio chart and garnered an unprecedented five Blues Music Award nominations.
Harman’s original songs have been used in 20 movies and have been nominated for 20 prestigious W. C. Handy awards. Harman won two Blues Music Awards for his contribution to Mark Hummel’s Blind Pig Little Walter tribute album “Remembering Little Walter” and received a Grammy nomination for the same project. Harman played harmonica on the last seven ZZ Top releases.
James Harman’s Bamboo Porch Revue features his longtime guitar player Nathan James with The Rhythm Scratchers and world famous percussionist Mike “Bonedaddy” Tempo.
