Friday Night Funnies Return to the San Diego County Fair

Del Mar CA— The 2016 San Diego County Fair, presented by Albertsons│Vons, is bringing back by popular demand, the “Friday Night Funnies.” It’s packed with a celebrity line-up of illustrious comics with credits from “Last Comic Standing,” Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and many more. Every Friday night, from 9 – 10:30 p.m., starting on June 10, the Turf Club transforms into the Fair’s own “comedy central” with an all-star show for “laugh-aholics” and a full bar for guests, aged 21 and older.  Come early each Friday for Happy Hour” in the Turf Club,” from 8 – 9 p.m., for $2 off all draft beer, house wine, and single call cocktails.

Hosted once again by world-renowned funny man Jason Love, the four Friday Night Funnies feature a fresh, new lineup of today’s hottest comics.

Friday Night Funnies Lineup:

June 10: Nick Cobb (Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” VH1’s “Morning Buzz,” AMC’s “Date Night,” NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” March Madness Competition at the Hollywood Improv, Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” AXS’s “Gotham Comedy Live”); John Dicrosta (“Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher” and “Real Time with Bill Maher,” “Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn,” “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “American Idol” and “Dancing with the Stars”).

June 17: Kellen Erskine (NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” “Reader’s Digest,” “San Francisco International Comedy Competition,” “Great American Comedy Festival,” “Bridgetown Comedy Festival” in Portland, Oregon, FOX’s “NFL Sunday”); Dave Burleigh (“America’s Got Talent,” “San Francisco Comedy Competition,” Rolling Stone).

June 24: Omar Covarrubias (Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade, “Live at House of Blues,” Hollywood); Flip Schultz (“Big Trouble,” “Breaking Wind,” ABC’s “Mistresses,” “Last Comic Standing,” Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham”).

July 1:  Andrew Norelli has made numerous late night appearances including twice on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where he was booked by Jimmy himself.  Other TV appearances include Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” and the nationally syndicated comedy round-table “Comics Unleashed, and more.
