San Diego CA— Nestled between Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean, a secret sanctuary has opened its doors to San Diego professionals who work hard during the week and spend time outdoors on the weekend. The Point, located, 1010 Santa Clara Place, has launched a one-of-a-kind, customizable office escape that local entrepreneur and owner Casey Fields describes as, “California-style co-locating.”
“Co-locating is the trend of working from a different environment for one day,” says Fields. “Instead of the traditional hotel lobby or conference room for an off-site day, we give companies the opportunity to infuse excitement into their out-of-the-office time and build a stronger, happier team at the same time.”
The trendy workspace features simply designed and locally sourced materials to make its desks, doors, walls and chairs – all of which are movable and customizable. One foldable glass door encloses a conference room with a turf floor and white board wall, while the rest of the 3,000-square-foot indoor facility has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Mission Bay. Neighboring the Mission Bay Sportcenter, The Point coordinates access to a multitude of water-sport rentals including a 30-person kayak, stand-up paddleboards and pedal-boat adventures.
When a company, team or organization reserves the space, Fields plans the activities and customizes the office to complement its goals. According to Fields, most days at The Point include a morning of goal-oriented work followed by an afternoon team-building activity on the bay.
“We know the traditional 9-5 is a way of the past. Now, a healthy combination of work and play are the signs of a happy workplace,” says Fields. “The Point proves that fun doesn’t come at the expense of productivity, and all businesses can benefit from a little kayaking with the boss.”
