Fifth Annual ‘Art in the Park’ Fine Art Exhibition at Mission Trails

Exhibition to Feature 48 Unique Artworks Depicting Mission Trails

San Diego County CA— The fifth annual “Art in the Park” event will host a fine art exhibition featuring artwork of Mission Trails Regional Park created by award-winning artists. The public is invited to a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, in the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center Art Gallery.

The event, which is hosted by the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation, will feature 48 pieces of juried art, all of which is for sale.  All of the art in the competition shows the scenic vistas, ecological diversity and stark beauty of Mission Trails Regional Park.

“We have excellent local artists participating this year,” said Vicky DeLong, Art Program Coordinator for the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation. “This is a great opportunity for guests to admire and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces that showcase Mission Trails in a beautiful way.”

The event includes refreshments and opportunities to discuss exhibited art with their creators.

Guests will also be able to enjoy all the exhibits and displays in the Visitor Center.

A portion of all proceeds from the sale of the art throughout the exhibition will benefit the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation. The exhibition will be on display through November 4.

The event is Sunday, October 9; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor’s Center,  One Father Junipero Serra Trail in San Diego.
