Cabinets of curiosities arose in mid-sixteenth-century Europe as repositories for all types of wondrous and exotic objects. A journey through the odd and spectacular, the exhibit features the work of artists Davidson and Polentz, who both have felt the pull of the unusual and extraordinary. With subjects ranging from portraits to oddities and memorabilia taken from and inspired by the natural and imaginary world, the featured works include paintings, sculptures, assemblage and installation.
