Visit Oceanside’s Third Annual “Wedding March” Event Highlights Best Places to Tie the Knot

New for this year is the option of a guided tour of the wedding venues via a luxury shuttle

Oceanside CA— With wedding planning season in high gear, Oceanside is helping couples plan their happily ever after during the third annual “Wedding March” community open house on Sunday, Mar. 12 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will showcase the city’s wide variety of wedding and event venues during this fun afternoon designed for anyone researching coastal venues for weddings, parties or other special events. New this year, guests have the option of taking a guided tour of the wedding venues in the comforts of a luxury CLi Worldwide Transportation shuttle. Tickets for the guided tour are $20 and include swag, chocolates, caramels, and champagne. For those that want to explore on their own, there is no cost to participate.

“Oceanside’s Wedding March is an easy way to visit Oceanside’s premier wedding and event venues,” says Michelle Martini-Brown, Visit Oceanside’s wedding resource manager. “In one afternoon, couples can easily visit Oceanside’s amazing collection of wedding sites from private tropical gardens and beachfront locations to historical sites and country clubs. Participants also get to talk to a number of wedding vendors who can guide them in their planning.”

Organized by Visit Oceanside’s wedding resource team, the 2017 Wedding March event will include five Oceanside venues and a selection of vendors. Anyone interested in attending can download an event packet at www.visitoceanside.org/weddingmarch. Some venues will have rooms set up for an event, some will feature wedding vendors and goodies and all will have representatives on hand to answer questions on pricing and availability.

To add to the fun, SpringHill Suites Marriott Oceanside will host a Cocktail Hour After-Party from 4-5 p.m. complete with tastings, vendors, entertainment, giveaways and more. Event packets include a Wedding March passport for participants to get stamped at each venue. The more venues a participant visits, the more chances they’ll have to win! Turn your passport in at the after party to receive your raffle tickets to win exciting prizes including hotel stays, photography, attraction tickets, spa days and more!

A highlight of participating venues include:

Heritage Park (12-3 p.m.): The charm of yesteryear is beautifully captured in this historic park, which serves as a dramatic and unique backdrop for special events and social gatherings of all kinds.
