Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation Presents World Premiere Eco-Folk Musical

“Dryad: An eco-folk musical in one magical act”

An awe-inspiring story of nature told through the magic of music

San Diego CA— Husband and wife musical duo, Jon and Sabine Sherman, will present the world premiere of their play “Dryad: an Eco-folk Musical in One Magical Act” at the beautiful Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center Amphitheater on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22 at 3:00 p.m.

With eight original new songs, the story tells of a dryad, the spirit of an oak tree, inspiring a man through music and the magic of nature to help save the forest. The family friendly show will go beyond traditional children’s theater in hopes of appealing to the hearts and minds of everyone who loves nature with its enchanting ecological insights.

With only a guitar and their self-made branch flutes as instrumental back-up for their songs, the Shermans combine the simplicity of their eco-folk music style with the heart opening potential of musical theater in hopes of inspiring a renewed love for this uniquely beautiful bioregion of Southern California. A love that can guide us toward a gentler, sustainable way of living, in harmony and in creative expression with the web of life.

Admission is free. The Amphitheater will hold 150 people, and it is first come, first served.
