Oceanside CA— Oceanside Police detectives want your assistance in solving a murder that took place almost one year ago. (Original story can be found here)
On June 22, 2016, at approximately midnight, Oceanside police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call for help in the area of 1510 Lemon Street. Officers arrived on scene and found the stabbing victim, Julio Granados, lying on the sidewalk. Granados was flown to a trauma center where he subsequently succumbed to the injury.
Detectives from the Crimes of Violence Unit responded and spoke to witnesses who reported seeing suspects flee from the scene in a vehicle. Detectives are investigating the possibility that Granados and the suspect(s) knew each other, and do not believe it was a random act.
San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
