San Diego CA— SeaWorld’s new nighttime spectacular—Electric OceanTM—transforms the park’s landscape into a sea of glowing color and energy when the sun goes down. During Cirque Electrique, daring aerial performers decked in advance LED suits mesmerize audiences, aerialists and acrobats bounce and fly in and over Mission Bay in a nighttime reincarnation of the popular daytime show, Cirque de la Mer.
The all-new IllumiNight show submerges SeaWorld guests below the ocean’s surface to an electrified ocean floor with a radiant exhibition of sights and sounds that features overhead laser lights, live musicians and larger-than-life animal puppets that soar above guests. A 100-foot projection mapping light package turns SeaWorld’s water coaster, Journey to Atlantis, into Atlantis Ignites; the Manta® roller coaster is electrified with special effects, music and colorful lighting to create Manta reCHARGED.
Guests can also recharge and relax to music at AfterGlow presented by Coca Cola, touch real bioluminescent organisms and watch microscopic algae glow just like they do in the ocean at Living Glow: Powered by BioBop. Plus, the Sea of Life is a display of gigantic schools of fishes that glimmer by day and are illuminated by night with lights synchronized to music. A signature dance area keeps the night grooving with blacklight lighting while DJ Moray spins hits at Club Current. All in all, Electric OceanTM is an exhilarating, high-energy lineup of immersive experiences into the exotic world of light only SeaWorld could create.
Guests are encouraged to share photos of what’s “glowing on” at SeaWorld, using #SeaItGlow.
