Encinitas CA— Blue Rose Theatre Project is holding auditions for the beloved Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. on October 10, 2017 from 4 – 7 pm.
Young Actors Needed!
With several featured roles, Beauty and the Beast Jr. is a unique show that gives every actor their moment to shine. In addition to Belle and the Beast, there are several strong Ensemble roles with fabulous dancing and quirky characters that create an atmosphere of fun from the very first rehearsal to the closing performance.
Actors ages four to nineteen are welcome to audition for this spectacular show. Young actors will find plenty of opportunities to learn their craft and dazzle onstage.
Auditions are being held at The Rhoades School, 141 S Rancho Santa Fe Rd, Encinitas, CA 92024 by appointment. Walk-ins will be seen as time permits.
About the Show
Based on the original Broadway production that was nominated for nine Tony Awards and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. The show features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.

What to Prepare
Please prepare a 1 minute vocal audition with cd or iPhone accompaniment. (no vocals)
Auditions: Tuesday October 10, 2017 from 4 – 7 pm
Callbacks: Thursday October 12, 2017 from 4 – 7 pm by invitation only
Rehearsals: at The Rhoades School, 141 S Rancho Santa Fe Rd, Encinitas, CA 92024 — Tuesdays and Thursdays in October and November from 4:00 – 7:00pm. December rehearsal location TBD. Not all roles will be called to every rehearsal.
Performances: January 12 – 14, 2018 at the Star Theatre, 402 North Coast Highway in Oceanside.

Ages 5 – 19 are encouraged to audition. There is a production fee* and everyone who auditions will perform in the show.
*Need-based scholarships are available through Sing Your Song, a non-profit organization committed to providing opportunities for young actors to participate in musical theatre.
