Sacramento CA—The Faculty Association of California Community Colleges is pleased to announce Krista Warren as the recipient of the Part-Time Faculty of the Year award. This award is presented to an outstanding part- time faculty member whose leadership at the campus or district level benefits faculty.
A non- credit faculty coordinator at MiraCosta College, Warren has been a strong advocate for part-time faculty for some years. Warren currently serves as an Associate Faculty Representative to the Academic Senate Council and continues to be a strong voice for part-time faculty across state. FACCC congratulates Warren on this tremendous accolade from her fellow faculty members.
“I’ve worked closely with Krista for several years and can say without reservation that her passion is unparalleled. She’s not only a great advocate for part-time faculty; she is an advocate for all the faculty,” said Adam Wetsman, President of FACCC and instructor Rio Hondo College.
The award will be presented at the FACCC’s upcoming Advocacy and Policy Conference, March 4 -5 in Sacramento. Warren was nominated by faculty colleagues and selected for the award after consideration of worthy candidates from across the state.
