John Cox is a 2018 candidate for CA Governor. Mark Mueser a 2018 candidate for CA Secretary of State
Carlsbad CA— On Tuesday, May 22nd, the Carlsbad Republican Women Federated (CRWF) club welcomes two major California Republican candidates. Both candidates are working tirelessly to return Republicans to statewide offices in 2018. John Cox, candidate for Governor of California, will present, “Let’s Take Back California!” Mark Meuser, candidate for California Secretary of State, will address, “Voter Fraud in CA and Why We Need a New Secretary of State.”
As the next Governor, John Cox wants to reclaim California and bring conservative, business-minded leadership back to our state. A successful businessman and CPA, John built his own business from scratch to a $200 million enterprise with almost 100 employees. He has been a conservative leader for more than 35 years, serving on Jack Kemp’s national steering committee and as Newt Gingrich’s California Finance Chair. He was a leader of the successful effort to remove disgraced Democrat Mayor Bob Filner in San Diego, and a major backer of the Paycheck Protection campaign to rein in the corrupting power of the public employee unions and the current Repeal the Gas Tax initiative. John is both a fiscal and social conservative supports 2nd Amendment rights and strongly opposes Jerry Brown’s “Sanctuary State” and boondoggles like the High Speed Rail “Train to Nowhere.”
John Cox is active in charitable organizations, and serves as a Board member for the San Diego USO. John also founded an organization that repairs the homes of low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities. John has four daughters and lives with his wife Sarah in San Diego where they are active in and attend Nativity Catholic Church.
Mark Meuser believes California needs a Secretary of State who will fight to protect the rights of citizens to vote and petition their government, and who will fight to protect voting laws by assuring only eligible voters can vote. Meuser wants to restore voters’ confidence in open, secure, and fair elections. He also believes he is the best candidate for Secretary of State because he has the knowledge needed to modernize registration of businesses in the State.
Mark Meuser is a native Californian and a small business owner. From a young age, Mark was an entrepreneur, working himself into a management position at a local restaurant by age 15. By age 21, he purchased his own pizza restaurant. While his restaurant business was thriving, Meuser began studying law, and graduated with honors from the Oak Brook College of Law. To better help small businesses owners handle California’s complex regulatory environment, he opened The Meuser Law Group. Meuser operated a diverse civil litigation firm that represented both individuals and small businesses. His unique training has taught him how to listen to people, formulate creative alternatives, and achieve workable solutions to real problems.
