PCBC 2018 Announces New Content, Sessions and Speakers for June 27-28 Show

The largest western United States homebuilder trade show brings industry professionals face to face with emerging trends and products

San Francisco CAPCBC, the largest homebuilding trade show that represents the west coast region, is pleased to announce new sessions, speakers and interactive experiences that will launch at this year’s event set to stage June 27-28, 2018, at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The 2018 PCBC trade show is set to unite more than 10,000 members of the homebuilding industry and their manufacturing partners for quality connection and dialogue.

New to PCBC 2018:

New Trend Series

The most important homebuilding industry trend today is attainability. Ron Nestor, AIA, senior principal of WHA Inc., will share his thoughts in a new, open-to-all education session: “EMERGENCY! Dealing with Disaster—Rebuilding After the Fires.” Nestor joins other thought leaders that will be on hand to share their perspectives on industry trends. New Compelling Speakers

Pamela Hardy, global head of diversity and inclusion at DaVita Inc.; Tasha Jones, director of marketing for Forest City Stapleton and Teri Slavik-Tsuyuki, founder and principal of tst ink will present, “Why Diverse Teams Outperform the Competition,” Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Slavik-Tsuyuki will also provide her expertise in two other panels during the event; “The Innovator’s DNA,” Wednesday, June 27, 10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.; andTying It All Together: An Interactive Conversation,” Thursday, June 28, 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

These industry experts will add to the already robust keynote speaker roster, which includes award-winning photographer Platon, best-selling author Patrick Lencioni and Jay Rogers, CEO and co-founder of Local Motors. Wiele, founding partner of Foothill Partners, Inc. will present on the panel, “Disruption: Retail Realities in the Age of Amazon,” Thursday, June 28, 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.

New Interactive LEGO Experience

To commemorate the California Building Industry Association’s (CBIA) 75th Anniversary, PCBC will feature an interactive LEGO experience where attendees can help build a LEGO community. A LEGO recreation of the CBIA 75th anniversary logo will anchor the building experience, which will be housed in the lower lobby of the Moscone Center. There will be building stations filled with LEGO supplies for show attendees to use in creatively building elements of the CBIA LEGO neighborhood. This experience will allow attendees to showcase their creativity, collaborative nature and demonstrate the importance of community gathering in a fun and nostalgic way.
