Carlsbad City Library Hosts Teen Talent Shows

Carlsbad CA – The Carlsbad City Library is hosting its annual Teen Talent Shows this summer at Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, located at 1775 Dove Lane. Participation is free. This year the first-place winners of the shows are invited to perform during the preshow of TGIF Concerts in the Parks on Aug. 17.

At a Glace

• The Singing Talent Show is scheduled for July 12 from 7 to 8 p.m.
• The Dancing Talent Show is scheduled for July 26 from 7 to 8 p.m.
• The Teen Creative Talent Show is scheduled for Aug. 9 from 7 to 8 p.m. This show features skits, instrumental music and talents other than singing and dancing.
• The talent shows are open to participants in grades 7 to 12.

• Performance nights are free and open to the public.
• The first-place winners are invited to perform before Poncho Sanchez at TGIF Concerts in the Parks on Aug. 17 at Alga Norte Community Park, located at 6565 Alicante Road.

The competitors will be judged by a three-person panel. Performances must be less than six minutes long. Prizes are awarded to all contestants.

The Teen Talent Shows are held as part of the library’s Summer Reading Adventure, which runs from June 18 through Aug. 5 and features reading incentives, activities and fun for readers of all ages. For more information about the Summer Reading Adventure, visit www.carlsbadlibrary.org .
