San Diego CAIDEA1, the mixed-use community developed by Lowe, LaSalle Investment Management and I.D.E.A. Partners, will host Sensorium by Vanguard Culture on Saturday, June 30, from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at IDEA1. At the immersive event, Vanguard Culture will transform 15 condo lofts into experiential, multi-sensory art experiences themed around the five senses. The Hub, IDEA1’s outdoor collaborative space will come alive with fine cuisine from signature chefs, live musical performances, sensory tents and a networking mixer. The event is open to the public and tickets cost $40 for general admission and $20 for creative industry professionals from the visual, performing or culinary arts with a business card at the door. The backstage passes include access to the VIP rooftop with a multi-sensory food and wine experience presented by Baja Wine + Food in partnership with The O Xperience.

“IDEA1 is thrilled to partner with Vanguard Culture to support these arts organizations in our collaborative space,” said David Malmuth of I.D.E.A. Partners. “This event perfectly aligns with our desire to enrich the community with unique activations that bring together innovation, design, education and arts.”

The event will include:

· 7:00 p.m. – Doors open to live music, samples of fine cuisine, wine tastings, sensory tents and Creative Industry Mixer in The Hub. Transformed lofts will be open to explore.

· 8:30 p.m. – Contemporary dance performances presented by PGK Dance Project, Jean Isaacs of San Diego Dance Theatre and Art Produce Gallery; followed by 5 Senses Fashion Show by Fashion Week San Diego.

· 9:00 p.m. – VIP Rooftop decks open with VIP backstage pass, a multi-sensory food and wine experience presented by Baja Wine + Food in partnership with The O Xperience. Join Chef Daniella de la Puente of La Cocina Secreta for a one-of-a-kind journey through the five senses.

In support of the arts community, featured artists will have the opportunity to sell their art and receive 100% of all sales. Fashion Week San Diego will also be hosting a pop-up shop by designers featured in the 5 Senses Fashion Show. Proceeds from ticket sales will support Vanguard Culture’s programs that support quality arts journalism, industry mixers, public events, and professional development opportunities to create arts jobs, bring diverse communities together and inspire collaboration among industry professionals from the visual, performing and culinary arts.

“This event encourages exploration of the five senses across all genres of the creative industries. Thanks to the ingenuity of over 75 artists involved, guests will experience work ranging from the visual arts, to live dance, fashion, culinary arts, technology, and much more.” said Vanguard Culture Founder and Executive Director, Susanna Peredo Swap. “Even more important is that 100 percent of all art sales will go back to the artists, arts organizations, and designers participating in the event.”

Sensorium is one of many signature events at IDEA1 supporting the IDEA District’s vision of becoming San Diego’s innovation, design, education, arts and technology hub. The common areas at IDEA1 are designed to allow regular connection and collaboration for residents and the public. With a total of 295 apartment homes, 5,000 square feet of restaurant space, and 7,700 square feet of creative office space on the street level and a variety of common areas, IDEA1 is designed to help grow a community of entrepreneurs and fuel change makers, visionaries and professionals.
