Oceanside CA— Join the Republican Club of Ocean Hills (RCOH) on Wednesday, August 15th, to meet Steve Hasty, candidate for the MiraCosta Community College Board of Trustees, Trustee Area 7. Steve will discuss his candidacy and his vision for the college. Members of the MiraCosta College Board of Trustees serve 4-year terms and represent and must reside in a specific area of the college district. Trustee Area 7 encompasses northeast Oceanside where Steve resides.
Steve Hasty is a strong conservative and is actively involved in the Republican Party and various other North County political organizations. Not only is he knowledgeable and thoughtful about the political issues of the day, Steve is quick to volunteer his talents where needed. As the owner of an Entertainment and Events Company that he formed in 1995, Steve often donates his services to political events throughout the area.
Steve grew up in Murfreesboro TN where he credits his conservative values to his Grandfather – a Southern Baptist Preacher. He came to San Diego in 1990 as a new recruit in the United States Navy and served 10 years of his Navy career in San Diego as a Navy Corpsman – 8 of those years at Camp Pendleton. In 1992, Steve married Oceanside native Karen Siegfried. They have two daughters – Kayla (25) and Raegan (9).
